Have fun learning how to rock climb precisely and safely with Stone Monkeys - school term programs.
Rock climbing exercises both the mind and the body, enhancing physical strength, balance and co-ordination as well as instilling the qualities of discipline, dedication, trust & responsibility.

Operating out of world class facilities and headed by a qualified school teacher and climbing instructor with more than 20+ years’ experience, Stone Monkeys students learn the art of climbing in a controlled and structured learning environment.

For students ready to push their limits further, the Stone Monkeys Academy (SMA) is the natural progression for any aspiring young climber. Training twice a week, SMA prepares climbers for competition and outdoor climbing.

Tuesday or Thursday (7-11yrs)*
4.30 - 6:00pm, $310 per 10 week term
Wednesday or Friday (12 - 18 yrs)

  • These tops help identify students in the busy climbing centre and help foster a good team spirit.
  • Stone Monkeys Uniforms are compulsory for climbers to wear to their sessions and can be purchased for $25 at your child's first class.

Instructors
Stone Monkeys instructors are all passionate climbers dedicated to passing on their skills to your kids. All have passed working with children screening checks and operate to the highest level of safety codes. Headed by a qualified school teacher and climbing instructor of 20 years experience, your child will learn the art of rock climbing in a safe and enjoyable environment.
The Venue
Stone Monkeys students train from one of Australia’s largest and premier climbing facilities, Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym. Home of the 2008 World Youth Championships, SICG’s walls offer the biggest and best variety of climbing in the country. New climbs and challenges are set weekly by a dedicated and talented crew of route setters, jointly headed by Australia’s only qualified International World Cup route setter.
Gradings and Assessment
Student’s skills and improvements are also tested at the end of each term through the grading and merit program. This program utilises the gyms grading standard representing the climbs difficulty level in conjunction with skills acquisition and physical conditioning components to keep students motivated and improving in their climbing and fitness levels.

We also offer weekend Stone Monkeys Private Group Adventures. Two hours of action packed climbing, fully supervised, with instruction, games and activities.
Ages 5—12, $35 per child, Min group size: 6, No parental involvement required.
